This is me with Andy Mineo. Andy is probably one of the most multi-talented artists I’ve ever worked with. He can do animation, he wrote a book, he writes songs, he records music, he produces his own work and the work of other artists. There’s really no limit. He started his own record label in 2015 and he’s got a good ear for music and songs. He could do so many things: he could be an A&R Guy, he could be a producer. Andy, like most highly creative people, has so many interests and talents that he is easily pulled in many directions at once. It can be hard to get him to focus, but he is one of the most likable guys you will ever know. We still stay in contact.
I went to his wedding – it was probably one of the most interesting and most fun weddings I have ever been to. There were Italians, Puerto Ricans, and a bunch of rappers all in the same room. I sat at my table the whole night because there was no way I was going to compete on a dance floor with the Puerto Ricans, Italians, and rappers. It was the wildest wedding and wild in a good way. It was happy. It was a celebration. There was so much food! I ate appetizers thinking it was the meal. As soon as we finished the appetizers they out a full Italian meal! We ate and ate, and there was so much pasta. It was everywhere. It was one of the greatest weddings I’ve ever been to.
I have a lot of great memories with Andy. Going on the road with him was awesome. I loved getting to know his wife. He’s about to move from New York to Atlanta. Andy is one of the most creative guys I’ve ever met. Just awesome.
